Black and White, With a Touch of Teal
Today I wanted to wear my new blazer from JC Penny. I actually got it yesterday when I drove 40 minutes to the nearest JC Penny to look at the new Pearl Marchesa collection. For some reason there aren't any close to where I live. Side note: I am obsessed with Marchesa and almost died when I found out about the collection. Anyway, It turns out that this JCP is tiny, way out of date, and doesn't have formal wear. On the plus side, I found this blazer and black jeans. I paired them with my black and white striped peplum top, my Forever21 boots and my teal statement necklace.

Saint Patrick's Day Attire
This is what I wore on Saint Patrick's Day. I had to work, so I didn't go out and have as much fun as I would have liked to but I did celebrate a little when I got home. This outfit was inspired by the typical green shirt that everybody wears on this day. My top is from Kohl's and I am proud to say that after coupons I got it for only $3.00!!! I have a weakness for collars and sequins and when they are together it's heavenly. My black high-waisted shorts are from Salvation Army. The necklace was made by me, and it just seemed perfect for this holiday. The shoes are my trusty H&M oxfords.

Chicago I Love You!
This post is about a little getaway I took over my boyfriend's spring break last week. We went back to Chicago. This time I went to the top of the John Hancock Building and ate in The Signature Room. I didn't really get as many good pictures as I wanted to but this is what I wore. A pretty light pink blouse that is embellished with pearls on the collar, and all over. I also wore my jeans with the black stripe down the side. We also did some shopping at H&M and Topshop. I bought a few things which I will be blogging about soon. Then, we went to The Shedd Aquarium. I have been there many times but it's always nice to go back. I got some really good pictures of the Jellies exhibit that was there. It's always nice to go to Chicago because it's such a great city, and so close to my house.

Stripes and Sparkle
This outfit was inspired by the concept of mixed prints, which I have always been a big fan of. I chose to mix the stripes of my Urban Outfitters circle skirt with my floral Gap blouse. I thought these two worked well together because they are both small prints and they have some colors in common. I wore my new Cynthia Rowley sparkly tweed blazer over. It's a bit too long on the arms (I should have rolled it up). They didn't have a size smaller and I was in love with it. My shoes are my H&M black oxfords.
